Project Details

Channel Dangert is the first leg of flood protection scheme in Special Economic Zone in Duqm, particularly for the protection of future refinery.

The scope includes the construction of an 11 km long, trapezoid sectional drainage channel with a variable bed width of 60 to 100m. The embankment will be formed by compacted suitable material and protected by riprap. The scope also includes the construction of two box culverts at the crossings of existing road. It is estimated that 2.800.000 m3 of excavation, 165.000 m3 of embankment fill, 30.000 m3 of riprap construction, and 100.000 m3 of gabion construction will be performed for this project.
